PRESS ARTICLE: 2017 MBO leads to expansion plans for Halton based specialist recruitment business

by Giles Hampson

Preston Brook based RMG (Recruitment Management Group), who last year underwent a Management Buy Out, have enjoyed record sales over the course of 2017 and early 2018, resulting in the intent to significantly increase headcount.

RMG principally operate in the health and life sciences market, with strong links to Scitech Daresbury and the wider Liverpool City Region community. They recruit for international companies, and whilst proud their base in the region, their work has seen them carry out assignments in some 26 countries across the globe.

Fiercely independent,  RMG was founded in 1994 by local businessman Andrew Evans, the MBO was led in 2017 by long-serving employee Giles Hampson, who had previously led the healthcare team for 5 years and had been employed for just under a decade. The company employs 12 staff with plans to add further recruitment consultants to the team imminently.

The vast majority of consultants have been employed from the local area, and the company would be pleased to hear from;

Commenting on RMG’s expansion plans, Giles Hampson said;

“2017 represented a big moment in RMG’s history, with a change of ownership that ensured RMG’s continuing independence and safeguarded the future of its employees.

It also represented a record year, with sales surpassing the £1m mark and an ever widening client base. This, coupled with industry data pointing towards further expanse in our market, has led to opportunities to expand our team over the course of 2018 and beyond.

Having joined RMG’s graduate scheme myself in 2007, I’m proof that there are clear succession opportunities here, and I’d invite any existing or aspiring recruitment consultants to get in touch about the opportunities we have and to share in our further growth.”
