Joining a busy, proactive Marketing team, based at the head office in Lancashire, we seek an outstanding, commercially-aware Brand Manager (Trade) ‘capable of spinning many plates’ with previous experience of wide-ranging Brand Marketing experience, ideally gained within another Trade B2B or Trade Product Brand position. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role will be responsible for the strategy and ‘full brand journey’ of new and existing Trade Brands across the whole Trade brand portfolio to support profitable, strategic targets. Working collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues, including; Technical New Product Development, Marketing, Design, Packaging, Operations, Communications, Sales Distribution and Sales Account Management, you will passionately ‘own’ and support each unique branding process, for new and existing product launches.
Reviewing market data, performing product gap analysis, customer and competitor trends, you will be aware of market opportunities, being an ambassador for the Trade brand process from NPD inception and creation, concept and design, through all production stage gates, to prepare a product for launch with the appropriate commercial pitch to major trade customers, maximising effective Communication and Distribution channels into relevant markets. You will maintain a close knowledge of all the brand statistics and facts, including results of market introductions and their relative successes. This role requires attention to detail, excellent analytical skills and a passion for your products and Trade Distribution Channels.
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have previous B2B Trade brand management experience ideally gained in a product manufacturing company or from a marketing agency supporting a major Trade brand, ideally with wide-ranging trade channel distribution experience. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with commercial acumen, customer focus, and previous experience of building a substantial brand. Experience of Trade product brands that are sold into relevant arenas such as Builders Merchants, House Builders, Housing Authorities, Building Contractors, Architects would be an advantage.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), or the Marketing Society.
