Scientific Writer / Medical Writer

A multi award-winning biotechnology business that has enjoyed a sustained period of growth, my client work in partnership with pharmaceutical companies to help them discover new medicines in the quickest possible timescale. They are looking to expand their team and recruit a Scientific Reports Specialist.

In this role, you will be responsible for writing the scientific reports which explains to the customer the work which has been done during the research project. While you will not be in the laboratory conducting the experiments, you will work closely with the scientists to ensure the reports are accurate. You therefore will need to have at least a Bachelor's degree in a life science subject, ideally a Master's in order to understand the science and how to best articulate the findings.

In a typical month, you will be expected to deliver 20-25 of these reports. The business has a number of existing templates so it is rare that you will write these reports completely from scratch, the time required to write them varies from 1-2 hours to a day or so.

We need you to have strong scientific knowledge and a passion for writing. Please note that this is not a lab-based role and you will not be conducting experiments directly.

Due to the expansion of workload, we anticipate that this role may develop into a leadership position with a small team in the medium term.
