A key Brand Marketing Manager role, leading the brand team and responsible for Brand and Product Marketing activity across the full brand portfolio & the Crown Paints business operations

You will lead the Brand Marketing team, with wide-ranging responsibilities across its full Retail and Trade portfolio. Reporting to the Crown Paints Marketing Controller, you will manage, establish and motivate a team of experienced Brand Managers. Through your own style, capabilities and proven experience to date, alongside your willingness to listen and learn, you will be capable of ‘taking hold of the reins’ quickly and earning the respect of your team, group wide colleagues and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for initiating, developing and implementing long term strategic and tactical marketing and prodct plans and activity, ensuring compliance to budgets, timescales and best practice. This is a fast paced, dynamic and project driven consumer goods environment, working to meet the expectations of major DIY Retailer and Trade customers. As such you must be proactive, dynamic and adaptable, with rounded Marketing experience gained within another major branded manufacturing environment, or large Marketing Agency supporting and building a major Brand. With your energy and calm ability to ‘spin many plates’, you will be able to gauge priorities and deliver in this large, brand-leading business that is still family orientated at heart.
Proven people leadership skills and team building qualities are essential to achieve in this role, besides strong commercial acumen and customer focus. Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills are prerequisites. You must have had a number of years’ experience developing your career in Brand Management and Marketing roles, including having built ‘brands’ within manufacturing environments; ideally ones that sell to major Trade or Retailer customers. You will be educated to degree level, ideally CIM qualified through the Chartered Institute of Marketing or hold an equivalent qualification; maybe also a member of the Marketing Society.
