Overview

Our clients’ Company Directors were required by law to appoint a competent person to help deliver health and safety. Whilst there were many competent persons within the business they needed at least one with appropriate health and safety qualifications and experience.

As such, our client tasked us to headhunt and appoint an individual as a resource to assist the organisation and its employees in meeting the requirements of applicable Environmental and Health and Safety legislation and standards.

Strategy

Working closely with our client to understand their brief, candidate specification and qualifications, we identified that the candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, extensive experience of applying and implementing safety policies, procedures and standards including OHSAS 18001, ISO9001 and 14001 Auditing and specific regulations.

It was essential that the new recruit had extensive experience of applying and implementing safety policies, procedures and standards. We undertook an extensive search identify and approached individuals with the required skills and experience operating in this sector.

Outcome

Our combined knowledge of both the functional discipline and the pharmaceutical industry enabled us to deliver a high-calibre shortlist. An appointment was made and the individual has far exceeded our client’s expectations.
