Our client, within the Chemicals sector, is a c£200m turnover commodity manufacturing business and one of the world’s most successful conglomerates. 

Strategy

Our brief was to recruit a new role of Estates and Facilities Manager to manage and maximise benefits from the land assets and infrastructure across their operating sites. This role was to report to the ‘new ventures’ Business Development Director and would work closely with the Company Secretary from a legal perspective. The role required someone with intellect, a proactive approach and fresh vision, in addition to the requisite people and technical skills.

Through an exclusive retained and targeted campaign, our first step was to take time to understand the brief and the ideal combination of complex requirements and the varied possible disciplinary backgrounds from which candidates could potentially be sourced. For maximum impact and coverage, we combined a targeted headhunt search in these particular market sectors and fully utilised the advert that we also ran alongside the search in the relevant media – ‘Estates Gazette’.

Outcome

We were able to contain the search activity and quickly appoint an outstanding candidate to the position, offering excellent potential to the business.
