Due to positive changes, the Marketing team, based at the impressive Crown Paints head office in Darwen, Lancashire, offers this high profile opportunity for an Account Brand Manager (Customer Channels) to join Crown and their friendly, fast-paced and commercial focussed team. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working closely with the Commercial Sales Account team, you will be responsible for leveraging future profitable growth in allocated accounts. You will achieve this by implementing and driving a branded support programme that contributes to overall commercial goals, and increased sales performance. Activities will include creating annual marketing plans, implementing new product launches, devising and championing promotional brand activities and incentives for new or existing products, besides delivering brand sales training and POS materials, all within tight budgetary control, compliance and account guidelines. Strong IT and commercial analysis skills are essential, allowing you to maintain a keen awareness of competitor, consumer and product performance data. By also developing an appreciation of all Crown brands, you will be able to spot potential future brand opportunities. As you will be present regularly at customer meetings, in support of your sales colleagues, you must be flexible to travel and stay overnight to attend business meetings across the UK. Most importantly, you will develop key cross-functional relationships with your customers, including with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing and Communications, to advance brand activity and drive key store products in major retailer accounts.
To succeed in this role, you must be a creative and strategic thinker, with an understanding of consumers and of building brands; you will be able to demonstrate the ability to make things happen. It is essential you have proven front-facing commercial experience gained previously as a Brand Manager, (or maybe as a Senior Brand Manager, Marketing Executive or Channel Manager.) Ideally, you will be of degree calibre and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), or the Marketing Society.
